About this event
No matter what genre we are writing in, it can be hard to create three-dimensional antagonists—those characters in our poems, stories, memoirs, and non-fiction who may have committed wrongs, be just plain unlikeable, or serve as obstacles to our main character or the greater good. This workshop, led by Jean Diehl, is intended for both beginning and experienced writers. We’ll start by sharing ideas about notorious two- and three-dimensional villains from favorite books and popular culture. Then, working individually and together, we’ll use anonymous vintage photos to practice writing bad guys. Our goal is to have a fun, engaging writing experience and to gain insights into enriching our book projects with more fully realized antagonists. Please bring paper and writing utensils or a fully charged computer. If you have any questions, contact rappwriting@icloud.com
